How Are You Feeling?

The past two weeks, our preschool through fourth grade have been learning about prepositions and emotions. Fifth grade through eighth grade have been learning about  Chinese food as well as American food. They were also introduced to a very famous poem written around 799AD. Two students recited it beautifully, one student gave a brilliant English version of this poem. Check out the video and enjoy their chanting. Don't forget to turn on the subtitles.

Next week we will have the second trimester test. Our 5th through 8th grade have received a study guide. It will be helpful if they take advantage of it over this week.

Happy Chinese New Year

The past two weeks our students have been learning about the Chinese New Year. This biggest holiday in China fell on January 28th this year, and the celebration usually lasts seven to fifteen days. Our students learned about the festival food and traditions. Some traditions include dragon dance, and giving out red envelops with lucky money in.

Take a look at the dragons and red envelops our students made! Fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students performed a Chinese New Year song to celebrate, click the video and enjoy their performance!

新年快乐, 恭喜发财!
