Screencast Instructional Video

As a teacher of new digital age, being able to demonstrate and model effective a variety of digital tools is highly important.  A screencast is a digital recording of computer screen, which usually serves as a tutorial for a variety of operations. It is especially useful to explain lessons to students, provide specific instruction step-by-step on how to complete a task on the computer. There are many programs we can employ to create screencasts, such as "Jing", "Screenr", "Capturer", and "Screen Record Tool Lite". For the video in this post, I used Screencast-O-Matic application which was downloaded through Screencast.com.

In this screencast video, I demonstrate on how to locate some basic information on a mac laptop. The information includes, type of operating system and its version,  processor speed, RAM (random access memory), the hard drive capacity, total size of the hard drive on your computer and how much free space you have remaining. I hope you can learn how to find this information from this short video.
